Smells amazing and really smooths and softens my hair

I've been buying this Aveda product for many, many years, always from an Aveda concession in a department store. It's the very best, I've never been able to find anything that matches it. The product I received from BE differs in that it's really runny and gloopy, whereas the pomade has always been solid, only liquifying when warmed in your hands. It's ok, but does feel like I'm using a different product. The tub also came without the usual plastic disc under the lid, over the top of the product, but this may be a new move to reduce plastic? Leaves me feeling uncertain that this is genuine, I'll buy directly from the brand next time and compare the two.

Used in the am to tame frizz from sleeping. Smells beautiful and leaves hair smoother with shine and doesn’t disrupt curls.

Left my hair looking like an oil slick. Perhaps better for tighter curl patterns.
