I'm an AVEDA devotee and use both hairsprays - this one is best for damper weather. I curl using my GHDs, then brush trough with this sprayed on the brush. I then need only a very fine mist of spray to finish. The difference between this one and the other is the hold factor - the ultimate hold is just that - it'll hold better in damp weather, the down side to that, of course, is it makes your hair look slightly dry, whereas the other spray leaves a slight shine. The only downside to this is the smell but is there a hairspray that doesn't smell? Using it in the brush first does mean that you're using less so have less smell to deal with. Overall I recommend this product.
About my hair: I've always had thin, lank hair but following illness almost 10 years ago I suffered hair loss that has not grown back, it destroyed my confidence to the point of losing my job and my barely leaving the house - so I do not recommend hair products without thoroughly believing in their efficacy.
