The faux leather is beautifully soft on both the inside and outside of the bag. It’s well made and professional-looking and also very stylish! There are 15 slots for holding your brushes and they are a good size. You can put more than one brush in the compartment slots depending on their size and shape. There are also four pocket slots which run the full length of each side, so two per side when opened. They are optimally sized and shaped for storing oil-blotting sheets, powder puffs, a makeup removal cloth etc. The bag zips round on 3 sides and the zip-pull has a large Illamasqua logo which is a lovely touch. The front of the bag has a small logo with ILLAMASQUA printed next to it. The belt aspect of the bag is adjustable and has a sturdy click-attachment to fasten. This is a great quality brush bag which is classic and timeless; trends come and go but this will always be in style and it’s the only brush bag you’ll need. I recommend not putting damp brushes inside; wait until they are fully dry. If you are worried about leftover product on your brushes getting onto your bag then a couple of tissues should be all you need to cover them back and front, and will also prevent transfer from brushes touching eachother from each side when the bag is closed. Due to the versatility of the design a brush shield hasn’t been built-in but you could use a piece of felt between the two sides when closed if desired. This brush bag will last a long time with proper care. An unsung-hero type product, but essential - especially if you have expensive/good quality brushes!
