Not a red lipstick

I wanted this lippy for a while and when I saw it really reduced I jumped on it, tho the reviews were mixed most said this was not a red lipstick. 
So here my take on it…..this is most definitely NOT a red lipstick, it’s a very ‘hot pink’ lip 
The lipstick itself is lovely, great texture for a matte, luxurious case, I buy illamasqua often and their products hardly ever disappoint me.  I am very disappointed in this colour, I’ve been wanting a proper red lip of a certain shade for years, the same type of red lipstick I wore in my latter teens, I’m 53 now and I’m afraid my search goes on for the perfect red, the red that was discontinued in the 90s 
Lastly all I can say is If you want a great quality pink matte lippy this is for you, you probably won’t be disappointed
