I bought this after trying anything and everything to help with the severe cramps I get at that time of the month, I was at my wits and and willing to give anything a go. The only thing that usually works for me is prescription strength painkillers which are costly and it's a bit of a nuisance to get the prescription renewed constantly.
This device came in a cute little package, along with two gel pads.
The device takes 40 minutes to charge and then has 5 hours of usage time. Its straight forward and easy to use, so just turn it on and adjust the intensity as desired.
The current isn't constant, it stops and starts every few seconds, but it's not noticeable. Each treatment cycle lasts for 20 mins (in case you fall asleep with it on, it will cut itself off after 20 mins).
This device does help with my pain, and it is small enough and discreet enough to wear to work, so I'm happy out so far. The gel pads have good adhesion so far, but I wouldn't recommend taking it off and putting it on often as I've read that the adhesion goes downhill fast if you try to move it too often or take it off too much.
I must add, If your cramps are as debilitating as mine, this is a useful tool, but it WILL NOT eliminate all pain. I still use over the counter painkillers in conjunction with it, and that makes the pain bearable. Usually otc medication alone will still leave me with quite severe pain.
